Let’s Talk About Mental Health! 💕
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Pi Upsilon Omega believes that speaking about Mental Health helps to reduce the stigma and raise awareness.

On May 22nd, 2024 we filled and packed our Pretty Care Kits to the brim with feminine hygiene products, which will be distributed to Eight Mile Rock High, and the two junior schools - Sister Mary Patricia and Jack Hayward Junior High School.

Pi Upsilon Omega Chapter donated blanket to a Zion Baptist Community Church in honor of Incorporation Day.

In collaboration with Mental Health Awareness Month, the ladies of PUO attended UB Fit Race Day participating in the 5K to promote health and wellness.

On Saturday May 6th, all hands were on deck to oversee the removal of two trucks and debris from a local elders yard.
This particular yard was "adopted" in January 2023 by Pi Upsilon Omega Chapter to complete a wheelchair ramp, lawn maintenance and truck removal.

In  honor of our Chapter's Anniversary celebrations, we kicked of our week by donated food items to Christ The King Church. This donation will help to feed 200-300 people on Friday evenings.

Concluding World Kidney Center Month, 25 blankets were donated to the Kidney Center in Grand Bahama by Pi Upsilon Omega. This donation was in aid of dialysis patients who are under the care of our sisters Dr. Monique Pratt and Nurse Sasha Rolle.

Our 115th Founders' Day, continued with a ramp construction, debris removal and lawn maintenance  for a handicap gentleman. All hands were on deck, including the men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Sigma Beta Lambda Chapter.

Continuing the Christmas Spirit Pi Upsilon Omega's President Yvonne Pearson along other chapter members, volunteered at Freeport Gospel Chapel School's Annual Christmas City. Ice cold drinks along with delicious hamburgers and hotdogs were served.

For our chapter's 2021 anniversary celebrations, the women of Pi Upsilon Omega distributed over 100 hot breakfast plates to the community of Grand Bahama.

As a part of our Women’s Health and Wellness Target, Pi Upsilon Omega continued distributing ‘Pretty Period Packages’ filled with feminine hygiene products and toiletries to the public junior and senior high schools on the island..
